looking to put a 06 gto motor in my 1967 camaro and was wondering if the
motor and trans fit

You can make anything work in those old cars, but have to have the knowledge to make a newer motor run and fit.
yeah and it sounds like a good idea- but when I see it, I see a resto-mod, done right- every detail clean and correct down to the floormats and paint- is that what you envision? if not then forget it-
