How can CarGurus facilitate the transaction across the continent to protect the
buyer from fraud?

I think they're like Paypal, and they protect purchases up to $80,000 or more. I think it's actually more than that. So if you are defrauded and get no vehicle in return, they should reimburse you. Or if you ship your car off to the buyer and their payment was a fraud, CarGurus should make good on the payment. But I'm not sure if they do this also for purchases to dealers, and not only to private sellers. I just asked that very question on here.

I imagine they have to be aware of, and or, involved in the transaction. Couldn't find anywhere on their site to begin this process.
