Do you mean it will crank over forever before she fires up? Or do you mean that when you turn the key it does absolutely nothing on some days, then on other days it starts up perfectly?

Right, but when it does not start, is the engine turning over, or is there just nothing?

Okay. Sounds like you have a bad starter. If you have car knowledge, try this test: Jack up car. Locate starter. Have someone hold the key to the ON position like they are starting the car. As they hold the key, rap on the starter with a hammer. If the engine suddenly turns over, replace the starter. It's bad.
