My Geo wants to die....

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ive got a little 97 Geo Metro. If I drive somewhere and turn off the car and let
it sit for more than 15 minutes, it wont turn on until, Im guessing, it has
cooled down entirely (30 to 45 ).  In hot weather its 5 to 7 mins of being off
takes 1 or 1.5 hrs to cool down before i can start it. Any ideas? Also, it will
sometimes shut off while Im driving if I shift gears or just step on the clutch
and Ill have to coast a bit before it kicks back on by itself....

If the engine is running too hot you need to service the cooling system.

Ive switched out the crank sensor and put in a new water pump.... but Ive still got the same problems
