My Nissan fmyrontier 2006 shift indicator light is stock in the same gear and does not turn on .

Shift indicator light stock in reverse and my car does not turn on.

It sounds like your shift cable needs an adjustment. Try turning the key to the "on" position (you turn the key forward until dash lights come on) and shifting into neutral. Then you should be able to turn the key and start the vehicle. Then get it to a trusted mechanic immediately. If you have to stop somewhere, make sure the truck is in gear and the parking brake is on before you turn off the key. You will have to shift it into neutral again in order to start it.
