Ok I have an 1998 chevy malibu I changed
the spark plugs & the fuel pump & its still
like it's straining itself like when I push the
gas it was actin like it didn't wanna go

Could it be the catalytic converter? Do you hear a hissing sound? Otherwise if the check engine light is on, have the vehicle scanned for trouble codes at an auto parts store if you can get it there. This would let you know what is going on and what to look at for repair. Write down any codes.

Idk wat about a bad oxygen sensor? Ok I had my water pump changed & the timing chain you don't think it's dat is it but it crunk up & ok I'll go up there & let them check it out
