I have a 2006 Nissan Armada. When I the transmission is in drive and I step on the brakes, sometimes a get a rumbling sound that does not cause the RPMs to increase, but goes away after a few seconds. Any ideas on what it could be?

It could be a malfunctioning ABS system that's pumping the brakes. Do you have any warning lights?

When this happens to my 2006 armada I turn off the vehicle and restart it and it stops. It seems like it is an ABS issue

I'm having the same issue and it's the transmission. Some internal components are wearing out and the price to repair it was under $1,000.00
