1998 chevy lumina Battery went dead put it on charge. Noticed a clicking sound coming from under dash passanger side also something click in the back of the vehicle could be under rear seat.

Charge will not hold.  When the key in inserted and turned to the on position the clicking stops.  Starts back when key is turned off and removed.

It could be the starter realy. I think the realy is located in the dash area, the noise in the back could be the fuel pump powering up...
