What size engine is this? If this is an interference engine you may have bent some valves when the timing belt broke. Check engine compression to see. Let me know what size engine this is so I can check.

2.2liter engine with alumiun bottom

The 2.2L engine is a interference engine. Check the engine compression, probably find it to bad in some cylinders.
