Idle issue

Asked by Guru145LY Aug 16, 2019 at 11:16 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sounds bad like almost dying but doesnt, only when idling
after a bit of driving. all fluids are okay, 200,000 miles its
been having this issue for awhile now. New fuel filter, not
sure what else to try

1 Answer

Not sure, yet sounds like it may be a fuel rail pressure sensor? Similar problem with my 05 cavalier.... Took my car to O'Reilly Auto parts, they put it on a scanner and that's what it turned out to be for me...... Hope this information is helpful for you.
