How do determine if my 98 Chevy blazer has a steel or plastic fuel tank

besides the fact metal and plastic look nothing alike. tap on it metal goes TING! plastic goes THUD!

Ditto. kbro has it dead on. Smack it with your hand. Not fist~~ if you value your knuckles and it turns out it's steel

All the 1998 Chevrolet Blazer gas tanks on eBay are metal.
