In short, yes it will work-- if I recall, there were no TCM/BCM requirements in the Blazer/ S10 vehicles then.

i have a 1998 chevy 1500 2 wheel drive with 4.3 motor. will the transmission out of a 1998 gmc yukon 4wheel drive with 5.7 motor fit my truck.
