Asked by MY90CARAT Jun 09, 2011 at 09:22 PM about the 1990 Volkswagen Vanagon Carat Passenger Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine will start but shuts off completely at approx,3000 rpm, cold or hot always shuts off. I have tryied 3 diff.computers ,replaced sensor II,still the same.Shutting off is sudden,like ignition symptoms..I have changed coil still the same.Wiring is all OK from computer.Idle stabilizer works fine. Anyone has knowlege on this one.

Hello... I am so proud of myself.I finally repaired My 90 vanagon. I replaced distributor as a last resort of my other repairs and now engine Does not stop at 3000 rpm anymore. Will everybody congratulate me?
