when key is used to unlock trunk , should it open or lift manually , very heavy

If the gas struts are worn out, replace them.

the trunk unlocks and opens with remote . doesn't open with key ,just unlocks

Unless the trunk has the power lift option you have to do it yourself. You are the one who said they did not know how it worked.
