headlight problem

I had to replace both headlights now when on low
beam my passenger side is fine but the driver side
is on high beam... when I switch to high beam the
left headlight goes to low beam

Low beam usually goes out first 99% of the time so you have to use high beam. with the age of your car replace both headlamps so they are equal in their lighting .
