tire specifications

Asked by Deborah Feb 15, 2007 at 11:29 AM about the 1997 Volkswagen Passat 4 Dr GLX V6 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

can the brand of tire affect the traction and braking?

1 Answer

The brand of the tire doesn't matter as much as the quality and life span of that tire (which may come with a brand name). Buy a pair or full set of new tires at the same time. This way your tires can get rotated correctly, and you will get proper traction and braking.
