What should I ask for my 2000 Beetle

My TDI  2000 Beetle has been deemed it needs a new engine due to flooding. .
I've had it for 20 yrs and makes me sad but I need to let go.My mechanic wants
to buy it but wants me to give him the price. Other than the engine the headliner
and seats need help. Please can you help?
