My ABS light is on and my transmission
won't shift out of first gear then  I can
shut it off and turn it on three times
then it drives. What's going on?

The vehicle needs to be first scanned for ABS and transmission codes to know what is going on. You would need a scanner that is capable of reading ABS and transmission codes. Not all scanners are capable of doing this, the cheap ones only read the trouble codes.

Mine did this but in 2nd gear. it was a $17.00 fuse.
