I need a transmission for my 2000
VW Jetta 2.8 liter vr6 manual
transmission.   Will any other
years swap out  other than a
2000?

you can take a 96-2001 provided the trany codes match. I would advise however to get as close to the year of your car as possible and be sure to grab the trany computer from what ever other modal you grab other then your year other wise it may not work correctly.
