1999 vw jetta wb edition

Asked by phillip7788 Sep 18, 2016 at 01:04 PM about the 1999 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

could the reasoning for the car giving out at or around 2200 to 2500 rpms
and bad idle be due to a vacume leak..it is a 5 speed i went to vw
dealership he told me something about since the car was dead i had to get
a jump he said i might have to reset the tranny by holding down gas pedal
for a few seconds and leaving key in on position but not starting it he said it
would go back to basic operations..i dont know all that much i bought it in
hopes to build it up
