Asked by wannabemechanic5235 Aug 24, 2010 at 02:07 PM about the 1996 Volkswagen Jetta 4 Dr GLS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the pedal goes to the floor with some tension, but won't snap back out.. I am figuring it is a spring, but all seem ok... am I missing something?  I could really use a hand with this... thanks so much

There is air in your slave cylinder. If you have done any work to it before this happened it usely means you blew the slave cylinder or a line broke.
