this is ussaly related to the tie rod. Go out to your car and if you can jack it up on hte front end so hte tires are either almost or fully off the ground. Now turn your wheels back and forth to fully determine where the noise is coming from. have some one give you a hand and be sure to have some jack stands under the car so it does not tip over onto them.

While your under there, inspect those CV boots...you could have the beginning of failed CV joint. Fortunately, rebuilt axles with CVs are readily available and a good choice for a DIY project in your driveway/garage.
