2004 WV golf starts but doesn't run

I was driving my car and as I was making a
right turn I heard a loud noise like something
broke in my car and it stopped accelerating.
I stopped and turned it off. Then it starts but
will not move, not even in reverse.
I pushed my car and parked it at a church.

Any ideas of what could be the issue??

Sounds like a drive shaft/cv joint. Was it clicking when turning for a while?
