golf cl

Asked by jash Jul 29, 2009 at 01:40 AM about the 1994 Volkswagen Golf 2 Dr Limited Hatchback

Question type: Car Customization

i have a 1994 golf cl and it came with 16in rims(ie special edition) it has a 1.8 ACC motor and i would like to turbo charge it but im not sure if it would be just plain better(IE, cheaper, easier and more reliable) to get a newer 1.8t and swap it in, the only reason i m asking you is cause its hard to find info online about this motor a responce would be great .

I used to have a CL also, you aren't going to make much power out of it. I'd say go for a 2.0L 16V swap and you should be dandy. If you have the money a VRT might be a good option also. Depends on what you want really.
