Can the convertible top on a 2000 VW Cabrio be fixed when it cracks right at the back window gasket?

Can the convertible top on a 2000 VW Cabrio be fixed when it cracks right at the back
window seal?  It is cracking right around the back window, not on a seam. Is there a way
to repair it rather than replace the whole top? Thank you.

I would try window weld, they sell it most auto parts stores. I used it with great results, you will need a calking gun to apply the product and may have to unlatch the top to remove the tension be fore using it.
