what makes my vw cabrio seem like the coke is on all the time

the car spits and sputters if you put it to the floor but when you get in it light it gose some
what and i smeel gas like the choke is stuck..

How long since you last major tune up? (Plugs, plug wires,air filter,fuel filter, ect)

i did all that 6 mon ago it all ways had this problem it smeels like it is runing rich

I would check all spark plugs for spark. Make sure all of them are firing properly. Also check your oil. Does it smell like gas? If so you might have an injector stuck open. This can cause similar issues.

i put a timeing light on it it was good ---when i un plug the mass the car dose not chang ..

Should stumble and fart when maf is unplugged. Have you tried cleaning it?

I think you might have found your problem. Tuff there we go again thinking alike.

that is what is is doing it will fart pop spit buck so that is it i think just wanted to get a second opion the part is 150 bucks thanks to all.
