like to swap out old stereo for a new single in dash cd stereo ,any information or how to would be great, taking out  c d magazine in trunk  not using it an need more space

You would need a wiring adapter for the stereo and a euro to american antenna adapter. Other than that the actual mounting bracket and trim should come with the new stereo unit.

Any major auto parts place should have them if your looking to do it yourself. I live in a SMALL town so I had to go to a car audio place and pay twice what the part is worth or order online. Even Wal-Mart's usually have them but where I live German imports only have a tiny following so its hard to find any VW parts.
