Was this a certified auto dealer? Unfortunately there's nothing you can really do... You can call his manager or supervisor but thats about it. Dealers can be really bad. They lie, lie, lie and lie just to make a sale and then they lie, lie, and lie some more if there is something wrong with the car.

sadly, no...it is a common tactic to get you to the car-lot...gotta love the system we are in...was it a private sale, or official business? better business bureau if you're really pissed....

If you had secured a deposit on the vehicle, then you would have grounds for a formal complaint and you should still contact the Better Business Bureau so that it goes on record. Sadly, the car sales business is first come, first served. As for paying cash, it does not really influence their decision as they usually make more money if you finance through them anyway.

VIN: 1GTR2VE32BZ361102 This truck was sold Saturday. Yet I called and scheduled an appointment for Monday. It was over an hour drive. Waste of time and gas. Then tried to sell us another brand of truck. Bad dealer. Stykeman in ohio.

This is Tuesday, March 11, 2014. This truck is still advertised!@ They need to remove it. Bait and switch !

Sounds like a trick to lure you in and then try to sell you another vehicle. Not much you can do but maybe consider filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so others can see when doing research on whether or not to do business with a certain company. How they handle complaints is often very telling of the businesses ethics.

Bait and switch. File a complaint with BBB. Thats all you can do. I had one post a great deal. I went down to buy and they said it was a misprint. Tried to sell me something else. Its ridiculous how many of the dealers are doing the exact same thing on here, except they just say its already sold. There are a bunch of private sellers that are trying to scam people too. Its as bad as craigslist. There are a few of these trucks listed right now for 18k. The guys asks for a deposit.
