When should you sell your car vs repairing it?

My car has a couple engine leaks that require the engine to be removed in order to repair
it.  The total amount of the repair is under $2K.  It is an BMW X5 2001 with 125k miles.

I think that with the age and mileage that your vehicle has it is time to trade it in or sell it yourself and purchase another vehicle. Pulling the motor could cause many other problems and repairs could be very costly.
