Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The transmission has started slipping, When I first start my car and then give it some gas to go, it dosn't want to take off, it starts to roll very slowly, and is slow getting going, but after it dose go ahead and findly take off, then it fine again antil it sits a few hours, I have found where to put transmission in at, But how can I check the transmission fluid level thats in it?  and is there any type of transmission additive that I can put in this car that might help without making matters worst?? I would sure appreciate some information on this matter.

You need to run the car for a little bit, then without going anywhere, just shift through every gear (d,p,r2,1) then put in N or D. Next you pop the hood and simply remove the dipstick and check the level. Shifting through the gears helps to check the fluid, fyi. But if its slipping and gets noticeably worse, you might need a rebuild anyway...
