Honda Accord DX 1987 Thermostat housing replacement

Broke a bolt off removing my thermostat from the housing.  I then noticed that I
have a crack running along the housing that attaches to the engine block.  There are
2 bolts, one easy; the other hard to get to.  My question is that is it worth trying to
replace this housing or just rid myself of the car.  I love my car but this kind of
setback is a bit much at the moment.  Any ideas would be great!

Well, if you broke the bolt and its half way out you can try to get a good set off vice-grips and clamp that sucker real good and try to twist it off, if its deep and unable to get too, you might want to opt for a extraction tool which is a bit that you can insert into a drill and back it out. Extractor should also be available at home-depot/ advance auto ect. call and ask before driving there, save gas.
