leaking power steering

Asked by David Aug 14, 2008 at 03:04 PM about the 1989 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the power steering started to whine one day and i found that the power steering reservoir was empty.  i filled it and turned the car on and as soon as I turned the wheel it came out.  I turned it off and marked the power steering fluid level and left it there for 2 weeks.  When I came back nothing had come out so I don’t think it’s the hoses.

The power steering pressure hose from the pump on you car is probably the cause, as they go bad often on Camrys.
