Rear View Mirror

Asked by chevyss2936 Aug 15, 2015 at 03:58 PM about the 2002 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class SLK 230 Kompressor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Question is for the r/view mirror, is it affixed to the windshield by standard measures,
that being a metal mounting block glued to the W/S then the mirror mounted to the metal
block, and if so can this be removed by heat and a blade. Thank you for your time.

Since nobody seemed to no the answer, what I did was take the mirrow off, then go to Pep Boys buy a new replacement mirrow and mount, glued it to the windshield and now I have a mirrow without the high cost. Around $ 20.00....
