I agree with Mick. But if you are asking because you are getting what sounds like bass overload or a torn speaker cone, it may actually be in the radio itself. That happened to me & ended up that a repair to the radio was needed to solve the problem.

I've replaced mine in the same car, a 94 sl. The factory speakers are 6 3/4" (6.75") component speakers with seperate tweeters. Without a doubt.
