I have the key however with the battery dead I can't get into the trunk to pull

usually in vehicles equipped with the battery in the trunk, when you open hood you may see a red and black (positive and negative) terminal, those terminals also serve as a jump start location. you may only see one terminal (B+) you can connect that and the other to a known good ground and jump start the vehicle.
