Remote car starter

Asked by Karen Nov 25, 2013 at 10:06 PM about the 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 320 4MATIC

Question type: Car Customization

Years ago i had a eemote car starter installed in my Mercedes E320.  Shortly after that i
moved to the south and forgot all about it.  Im back in the cold and i cant find the remote.
Where can i look for it in the engine so i can look up manufacturer name and model? My
dealer would not look for it because "it could be installed anywhere" so i should get a new
one.

As far as I can remember only Toad and Clifford do remote start. It will have been installed where potential thieves can't get to it so look at places close to the bulk head and under panels. Like the dealer said, it could be literally anywhere.
