Check Engine light for codes P0170 and P0173
I just bought a 2000 MB E-320 with 48,000 certified miles. The Check
Engine light lit up "for a P0170 &P0173 stating that the fuel trim in bank 1
and bank 2 are not where they should be" The car has had an OE new
fuel pump and fuel filter installed. What else could it be?
P0170 MERCEDES-BENZ - Fuel Trim Malfunction Bank...Possible causes; Intake air leaks, Faulty front heated oxygen sensor, Ignition misfiring, Faulty fuel injectors, Exhaust gas leaks, Incorrect fuel pressure, Lack of fuel, Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection......PO173 has the same causes...
