After entering the code, sometimes you need to leave the radio on for at least an hour uninterrupted before it will allow the amp to produce sound.

Any idea where the amp is located? Everything appears to be working, but still no sound. Thanks

The amp is located in the trunk on the right side. It is behind the trunk liner panel.

I had this problem on my CLK280. (Comand showed mute icon). Fault was with the amp due to water leaking into the boot. Fixed the leak and got an amp for £250 on ebay. Problem solved.
