2005 Mercedes c240 won't crank only cooling fan turns on ?

Car was sitting for 2 days now all of a sudden it
does not want to crank at all ? Lights come on &
radio but won't start only cooling fan turns on at
high speed but won't start ?? Any hints?

i have the very exact problem, after loosing the sprenten belt, drove the car home, temp went up. i let cool down and the car started fine. bought the belt and tension pulley, stared the car to move it to my drive way and now the engine cranks fast and easy but does not start and the cooling fan will ramp up and down on its own as soon as i turn the ignition key. any feed back today will be appreciated
