Engine light Blinking on and off

Starts up but shaking  and the light want stop

You will need to bring the car in to shop or if can get the car to Auto Zone they will pull the codes for free. The codes are stored in the ECM (Main Computer) this will give you the information on what going on and causing the car to shake...

CEL blinking usually means Engine misfire. CODES should be stored in Engine Computer. Call up your nearest Auto Parts Store....they may read the Codes for FREE. Write down the details and get back to us.

On my truck the blinking means a code is being set, once the code is registered the light stays on.
