2000 cavalier Z24 with factory 16 alloy wheels.

Asked by jbd1941 Feb 20, 2015 at 01:48 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 Coupe FWD

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2000 Cavalier Z24. with 16 " factory alloy rims.  will  15" steel rims from a 2000 regular Cavalier fit. the Z24. I know it taht i will have to get four tires also but 15" tires area alot cheaper than 16" But the problem is that there are no used 16" alloy wheels out there. New one are around $160.00 plus another $125.00 for a 16" tire. Thought I would switch to 15" steel if they would fit.  ???

But wait, the 16" wheels have a 114.3mmX 5 lug pattern, and the 15" have 100mmX 5 lug. They won't swap.

Tire is not the problem. I can't see paying $160 plus for a new rim for a 16 year old car. with 100, 000 miles. can't fine a used 16 rim the junk yards & car salvage places are scraping then for the metal value.
