Engine shaking

Asked by tyrail11 Feb 11, 2016 at 12:35 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer with close to 200,000
miles on it.
About a month ago I was having problems where
the car would jerk back & fourth and the rpm would
jump. It got so bad that the car cut off and
woukdnt start at all. I was told by a mechanic I
needed a new ignition coil so I Boughy a new one
from auto zone and had it replaced. Right after it
was replaced I go to start it up and by my surprise
it actually started. It was running fine for a few
minutes but it got worst and worst the longer I kept
the car on. Its was the same jumping and jerking
but this time the engine was shaking
