what is the relationship of Pioneer DEH-S4010BT in Dodge 2006 2500 Diesel and no speedometer, ABS warning light and Emergeny brake light?

Asked by Burntwoodweldingrod Jul 04, 2018 at 12:37 AM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 2500 Laramie Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a national company install a new Pioneer DEH-S4010BT replacing the factory Radio/CD of 2006 Dodge Laramie 2500.  Since Installation the truck has suffered electronic problems since early February. This company even rewired the radio to the cigarette lighter and after many hours of checking for parasitic power drains on the batteries and 2 new sets of batteries, a inspected and rebuilt alternator the speedometer does not work, the ABS and Emergency Brake lights stay on.  The rear speed sensor is new.  thought the radio functions when using a code reader their is No communication with Speedometer, ABS or Emergency brake.  A code reader gets "No communication"
is there relationship in the Dodge Programing and the radio?

Additional information from Burntwoodweldingrod. rechecked the fuses found that #30 spare was not really a spare it is for ABS, Parking Brake-light, speedometer and odometer. correctly relocated it nothing Find that the Fuse that is #30 looked good and tested good, fuses are cheap installed a new one all is well. check engine light on, engine went trough 5 engine operational temp and drove about 60 miles the check engine light cleared its self. I asked a great a great mechanic to humor me even though the check engine light was "Off". he found several codes. cleared these out cleared the ABS and Break light but no odometer or speedometer . Additional investigation found the positive lead clamp to the Aux Battery was bad, replaced it tested the speed sensor on the top of the rear differential found it bad replace now all is back to normal. but the story continued. between work and home the alternator stopped charging never trip the warning light. it had near 250,000 miles, removed it tested bad installed new alternator. for over a week no new problems for an old truck. also discovered that by holding in the button that changes the total mile to trip mileage and turning the ignition to on puts the all the console lights and gages into a test. holding the button in until the test tells you its complete. this will test all gages and warning lights. During all this had the Radio installer check the install found nothing radio and components all good. Take-a-way- fuses are cheap, OHM meters are great, and the eye can be fooled by old wiring. investigate.
