Asked by cport86 Apr 03, 2017 at 11:52 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LS 2-Door RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Put in New fuel pump and I am getting gas through
the filter and to the check valve at top of the motor
but it won't start unless i dump fuel into throttle
body and then only runs long enough to burn the
fuel I dumped in. Any suggestions?

Test for power to injector wires & its wire harness and injector connectors. Should see 12v

Check for Ground (ohms & resistance) issues if high side of injectors have low volts. Should have low resistance from power wire to PCM.

I think enginecreator is on the path on this, check to see if you have injector pulse with a noid light. May be able to rent one from the auto parts store. Also verify the fuel pressure by hooking onto the Schrader Valve with at fuel pressure gauge. Fuel pressure should be 56 to 63 lbs.
