2000 Chevy Blazer will not start

So I go out to start my blazer today and it wont start.  So far this year I've
replaced all of these items:  new  battery, new fuel pump, 2 new fuel filters,
new serpentine belt, new plugs, new plug wires, new brakes including
rotors/callipurs/brake pads.  When I try to start it, it will not turn over.  No
clicking sound.....no noise whatsoever.  Could this be that it needs a new
starter?  I've had no issues before this - ever - with it starting except when
the fuel pump went out.  Could it be possible that the fuel pump is not
working correctly and needs to be fixed/replaced?  It was a new factory
model that was put in the Blazer less than one year ago.  Please help! My
Chevy Blazer manual is giving me no clues and since it's the Friday before
New Years all of the Mechanics in town have taken Friday off in
observance of New Years!!??

Try tapping on the starter with a hammer. If it fires up, the starter is bad. Also, try starting it in neutral but remember to keep your foot on the brake pedal so you don't roll away! If it then starts, neutral safety switch is bad. Switch on the headlights and try to start it. Do the headlights stay nice and bright? If so it's the starter, neutral safety switch, or possibly a security system problem. If the headlights dim, flicker badly, or go out it's your battery or battery cable connections. HTH. -Jim
