Timing on 2000 blazer 4x4 / 2 door

Asked by Ellie Sep 28, 2016 at 05:22 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LS 2-Door RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son bought a 2000 blazer 4x4
It was stalling out on him.
This is what we have done so far
New Fuel pump,  omc unit , changed the box
that hold all the censers as he was having
issues with censers blowing all the time.
New spark plugs , wires and roator cap.
Now it's only sparking from the center. After
changing plugs, wires and cap does the timing
need reset??????

You don't reset timing. And are you blowing sensors? Or fuses? What is an omc unit? I am not trying to be rude but if your throwing this many parts at it already just take it to a shop, if you are blowing fuses frequently then it's got an electrical problem that will be difficult to track down anyway.

Most ppl don't know about the secondary air injectors and sensors. It will run like it's blower up if it gets water in it or wet good. I learn that from mine 2000 chevy blazer zr2 4×4 don't that n no mechanic in town knew anything about it. If it's had water in it often it may also be rusted. They usually dry out and will actually run again

Oh and I kept reaching it up and advance auto put a computer code thing on mine n I search up the codes n found it was secondary air injectors sensor
