what is the size of the alternator for this model?

I have a 2001 Chevy Venture Warner Brothers Edition. I have been trying to replace my alternator, but I dont know the amps size, and I dont want to just buy any alternator that, at the end, would not fit properly to my van.

The van calls for two diffrent alts a 105 amp and 125 amp. If you have it off, there should be a stamp in the housing saying what it is. Physicaly, They have the same bolt patern

I have a 2002venture 3.4 and I need alts. But don't know the amp need? What would happen if I put a 125 instead of 105?

As far as amp rating goes,,, a larger rating means the alternator is working easier,,, but if you check rock auto for serpentine belts the proper belt size depends on the amp rating of the alt.,, :-)
