Oil sensor in my truck

Asked by LilBit6977 Jun 09, 2017 at 11:14 PM about the 2000 Dodge RAM 2500 SLT Quad Cab LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Check gauges  light comes on...oil gauge goes to
zero... runs fine...then goes back to normal/ light
goes off.. couple times... then nothing for couple
days.. then happens again.. is it safe to drive

Could just be a bad oil sending unit,probaly alright to drive,but have the oil pressure checked by a mechanic to rule out oil pump issue.
