the cummins is a great engine. until the upper end starts to knock, and the lower end begins to leak and loose power. if your not running an allison auto tranny in it your gonna blow through transmissions one after another unless you use a built one, which is expensive. the cummins is a great powerhouse, i like the 1995-2001 and the 2006 through 2009 models. but they have their ups and downs.
