Question type: Car Customization

I just bought a 1996 5.9 12 valve auto trans. and don't know much about them. I am
wanting to know how to get the most horsepower i can out of it without buying a new
transmission or spending 1000s of dollars. Or the most inexpensive dependable upgrades
i can do to the stock transmission so that it can withstand it. Gauges/ edge insight cts?
what HP injectors and brand? Exhaust recommendations? Remove fuel plate or put
maybe a #10 in? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Not exactly sure on the horsepower, but a 96 would be in the 200 to 230 range most likely. If its an automatic tranny, better leave it alone the tranny will not hold up. Depending on the fuel pump, you could turn it up some but again the tranny will crap out quicker than a goose on exlax. The inline pumps can be tweaked some, and play with boost, by resetting the wastegate on the turbo. One mod without the other can throw the air fuel ratio way out, and it will run worse.

power costs money. you will either spend it up front, or later when you break stuff.
